Experience the hidden treasures of the Himalayas with this 7 night and 8 day Ladakh Silk Route travel package. It will take you to the unique destinations of Sham Valley & the Drokpa community in Dha-Hanu Valley, & it will allow you to connect with both the natural beauty of Nubra Valley & the villages of Turtuk along this Leh Ladakh travel itinerary.

You will also see the pretty scenery of Pangong Lake & travel on some famous roads, like Khardung La. If you are looking for a historical & beautiful journey, this is the right package for you!

Itinerary

Upon arrival at Leh airport, you will be directly transferred to Sham Valley, passing through picturesque villages along the Indus River.
Upon arrival, check into your reserved accommodation for a day of complete rest.
Overnight stay in Sham.

After breakfast, set out on a journey to Aryan Valley via Khaltse.
Depart from the Srinagar highway, tracing the Indus River's course until reaching Achinathang.
Continue the drive to Beema village, exploring monasteries & the villages of Dah-Beema, occupied by the unique Drokpa people.
Engage with the locals, gaining insights into their daily life & the adaptations important to their seasonal lifestyle.
The Drokpa, with pure Indo-Aryan descent, maintain their national purity & distinct cultural characteristics.
Return to Sham, with an en route visit to Lamayuru Monastery & Moonland.
Reach Sham by evening and enjoy an overnight stay.

After breakfast, drive back to Leh, making stops at Alchi Monastery, Sangam, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, & the Hall of Fame en route.
For Lunch, drive to Thiksey to enjoy a traditional Ladakhi Cuisine.
Thereafter, continue the journey to Chuchot to witness an exciting traditional Ladakhi polo match, highlighting the region's special sporting heritage.
On the return Journey to the hotel, visit Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace & Leh Market.

After breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla, the highest motorable road in the world at 18,380 ft.
Take short breaks at roadside cafes and scenic points for photography.
On arrival, check in to the hotel/camp.
Post lunch, enjoy a camel safari with double-humped camels unique to Ladakh & Mongolia at the Sand Dunes between Deskit & Hundur Village.

After breakfast, drive to Thang (the last village of India on the India-Pakistan border), captured by the Indian Army in the 1971 war.
En route, visit Turtuk and Tyakshi.

After breakfast, leave for Pangong Lake at 14,500 ft, with a drive of 6 – 7 hrs.
Arrival at camp, enjoy leisure time & observe the color-changing lake & the sunset on its banks.

Early morning, enjoy the picturesque sunrise over the lake.
After breakfast, drive back to Leh, with stops at Thiksey for a traditional Ladakhi cuisine Lunch.
After lunch, visit Thiksey Monastery & Shey Monastery & continue the journey to Chuchot to witness an exhilarating traditional Ladakhi polo match & Cultural show, showcasing the region's unique sporting heritage.
Overnight stay in Leh.

Early in the morning, transfer to Leh airport for your flight back to your destination.
The journey concludes.
