Cabo De Rama fort’s history dates back to the time of Ramayana. According to the belief or stories from the locals, Lord Rama, Goddess Sita and Lord Lakshmana resided at this fort during their 14 years of exile. After the arrival of the Portuguese rulers in Goa in 1763, they conquered the fort by winning over the local kings.
