Dhakeshwari Temple is located in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and is the national temple of Bangladesh. It was built during the 12th century by Ballal Sen, the ruler of the Sena Empire. Dhakeshwari Temple is a famous Hindu temple of Goddess Dhakeshwari situated in the centre of the city. It is considered one of the most sacred temples for Hindus in Bangladesh and is one of the Shakti Peethas, where the crown jewel of Goddess Sati fell. Along with that, Dhakeshwari Temple, also known as Dhakeshwari Jati Mandir, is considered one of the largest temples in the world. Thousands of devotees gather here every year to celebrate and worship the Goddess of Dhaka.
