Betul Fort<\/a>, one of South Goa’s most popular forts, is known for its beach and Betul village. The fort was built in 1679 under the guidance of Chhatrapati Shivaji\u2019s Maharaj. It provides panoramic views of the Arabian Sea and the River Sal. In addition, the fort has the appearance of an abandoned archaeological site. Betul Fort History<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Betul fort was built on Chhatrapati Shivaji’s orders in the 17th century. It may have been the last fort that he wanted to build before his death. They had an advantage because of the fort’s strategic location at the confluence of the Arabian Sea and the Sal River. The Portuguese later captured and annexed the territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
