Ukhimath Temple<\/a> is one of the Panch Kedar where the deity is brought down during the winter season when the Kedarnath Temple gets fully wrapped in snow. The Omkareshwar Temple is located at the Kund Ukhimath Gopeshwar Mandal Road and is 24.2 km down from the Kedarnath, Sonprayag. It is located at an elevation of 1300 metres and is believed to be amongst the holiest pilgrimage sites for Hindus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The temple has been built in a cave on the top of Mount Kailash with steps leading down from both sides.
